Gustave VILLAUME learnt his craft in the workshop of Leon Mougenot. He then joined Caressa et Francais in Paris and JACQUOT in Nancy. He settled his own workshop in Nancy, located Marché aux fleurs square.

Gustave VILLAUME's work is well appreciated by musicians both for his personal models as well as his copies.
