Cello Rental

We offer an affordable and flexible rental plan to suit your needs with the option of paying monthly or paying every three months at a discounted rate. As well as this, you have the option of having your first three months' rent credited if you wish to purchase a new instrument from us (please note that this must be done either during the rental period or immediately at the end of the rental period and applies only to the first three months rent. Any rent paid after the first three months cannot be claimed under any circumstances).

All rental instruments are set up and serviced by us on our premises. The instruments come from our rental pool and are all in excellent playing condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Do I get a new instrument to rent?
  Although all our rental instruments are in excellent playing condition, that doesn't necessarily mean you will get a new instrument. Whether you will or not depends on our stock levels at any given time.
• Can I use the 3 months rental credit to buy the instrument I'm renting?
  The three months rental credit may be used to purchase any new instrument, but not necessarily a rental instrument. This is determined on a case-by-case basis.
• Does all the rental money that I pay get credited towards a new instrument when I choose to buy?
  No. Only the first three months that you pay can be credited towards your new instrument when you choose to purchase. You can continue to rent at our low rates for as long as you like, but only your first three months count towards your final purchase.
• What if I don't have a credit card?
  We use credit cards both as security and for rental payments. The deposit and first rental payment can be made by other methods but all subsequent payments must be made by credit card. Unfortunately if you don't have a credit card, we have no other options for you to rent and would suggest purchasing an instrument. Regardless of how you would like to make your payments, a current credit card is still required for you to rent from us.
• Do you rent better quality instruments, for example good quality European instruments or older antique instruments?
  At the moment we only rent student level instruments. If you need a better quality instrument you should seriously consider purchasing and not renting.
• What brands of cellos do you rent?
  The brands of instruments that are in our rental pool vary but we mostly keep the following: Kreisler, Shimro, St Antonio. Please note that you may not have a choice as to which brand you receive.
• Will my instrument be insured?
  No, but if you would like to purchase insurance we can recommend a suitable insurer for you.
