This Instrument was made by Andrea Varazzani in 2023 in Cremona, Italy. Andrea Varazzani is a luthier from Naples working in the Po Valley outside Cremona. He graduated from the "Antonio Stradivari" Violin Making School in 2000, and has been operating out of his workshop making instruments since 2006. This instrument does come with a certificate of authenticity and photos from the maker. This instrument is labelled "Andrea Varazzani LIUTAIO (signed) / fece in Cremona - anno 2023" and is based on Guaneri model. The body measures 355mm along the back, 168mm across the upper bouts and 207mm across the lower bouts. The back is two piece, made of highly flamed maple with a narrow curl. The maple of the ribs and scroll match the back. The top is made from fine-grained spruce. The violin has gold-amber varnish, and is finished with ebony fittings. This instrument has a broad, warm sound that projects well in all registers. It would be most suited for the chamber or orchestral musician.
