Setups & Servicing

All Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double Basses require regular maintenance to keep them in good playable condition, and to keep them sounding the best they can. We recommend having the instrument checked over every 6-12 months, at which point you may need to replace strings and have parts adjusted.

To help you keep your instrument stay in good shape, we have a few servicing and setup options available. The table below shows what is included in these options:

**One adjustment included

In many instances, if there is an issue with one part of the setup of a violin, viola, cello or double bass, then other parts of the instrument also require some work. Our workshop offers 3 levels of new setup, which are targeted at instruments of varying quality (as shown below). If you wish to service your instrument or get a new setup, please book an appointment with our workshop team to assess and talk through the best options for you and your instrument.
