| Terms and Conditions
All transactions are processed by Narlas Pty Ltd trading as the Sydney String Centre. All transactions made via the Sydney String Centre's website, www.violins.com.au, are subject to the laws of the State of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia. Postage We have a flat fee of $8.00 (AUS) for all purchases up to $100.00 being sent to an Australian address. Generally this will be for express post. Any orders over $100.00 that are available for immediate delivery will be sent freight free within Australia pending our other trading conditions listed below. (Please see sections 'Backorders' and 'Returns') International orders will generally be $65.00 for registered international post. Please ask for a quote. PLEASE NOTE, FOR SECURITY REASONS, DELIVERY IS NOT AVAILABLE TO POST OFFICE BOXES. Backorders If an product is unavailable at the time an order is placed, it may be placed on backorder. In the event that such a product is unavailable The Sydney String Centre will attempt to notify the customer using the contact information provided at the time the order was placed. If an item is unavailable it may not count towards the total amount of an order. If the total amount of an order is under $75 due to an item being backordered, then the customer will no longer be entitled to free freight unless by other arrangement. Returns 1. Sheet music, books, CDs, manuscript, strings and accessories are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for change of mind. These items may only be returned should the customer believe that they have a basic, serious fault that was not known by the consumer at the time of purchase, they do not do the job that the consumer was led to believe they would do, they do not match the sample the consumer was shown, or they do not fit their description. 2. Instruments, bows, cases and instrument outfits may be returned only within 7 days of receipt of goods if you change your mind, however there will be a re-stocking fee of 3% of the cost of the product as well as the cost of shipping and insurance both ways. Further charges may be incurred if the product is returned in a less than satisfactory condition resulting from damage. Such products may only be returned free of charge should the customer believe that it has a basic, serious fault that was not known by the consumer at the time of purchase, it does not do the job that the consumer was led to believe they would do, it does not match the sample the consumer was shown, or it does not fit its description. Insurance All products are insured against damage caused while in transit from The Sydney String Centre to the customer only. They are not insured if they are simply lost or stolen. Information About Processing Transactions FOR CUSTOMERS PAYING BY CREDIT CARD: FOR CUSTOMERS PAYING BY CHEQUE: FOR CUSTOMERS PAYING BY DIRECT DEBIT: Payment for all transactions under AUD$2000 can be by any of the aforementioned methods. Security and Privacy Security Every effort is taken to protect the information of our users. Any information that is submitted is protected both online and offline. Any sensitive information, such as personal or credit card information is encrypted and read with SSL technology. Credit card and other information is only kept for as long as necessary to complete any one transaction. Only staff members who need access to information to perform a specific job are granted such access. This information is password protected. All credit card transactions are processed securely offline and not in real time. Privacy Information obtained by The Sydney String Centre from their customers will not be sold to any other company, person or organisation. |
