String Instrument Repairs and Servicing
We have a comprehensive workshop to service and set-up all instruments that we sell. As well, we can perform repairs and services to your current school string instruments. Workshops and Open Days
At the Sydney String Centre we aim to run at least two teacher development workshops per year; presenters include nationally and internationally recognised pedagogues. These are always very informative events, and a great opportunity to meet other teachers and compare notes of what works. We also run extra Open Days at the beginning of the school year for teachers only. This is an opportunity for teachers to browse for new music, new instruments and accessories to get prepared for the New Year. It is also a lovely time of fellowship with other teachers. At these Open Days we generally have a string quartet available to play through any new string orchestra titles, so that you can hear the arrangements before purchasing. We also support the yearly AUSTA NSW reading day and encourage teachers to attend; teachers bring their string instruments and play through a selection of the new string orchestra material from Australia and overseas.
