The Tido Pad goes over the chinrest, eliminating discomfort sometimes caused by the chinrest rubbing against the player’s neck or by the instrument rubbing against the collarbone.

The Tido Pad can be used as a stand-alone shoulder rest (usually for younger players whose necks are not yet tall enough to accommodate a conventional shoulder rest) or in combination with a conventional shoulder rest.

The pad is made from soft foam that is covered in a soft velvety fabric. It goes over the chin rest, also covering the chinrest barrels and attaches to the corners of the c-bouts of the violin with soft black elastic.

If you find that the pad is too high, the interior foam can be removed for less height.
