This violin was made by the Laberte workshop under the direction of Albert Jacquot in 1909, and is sold with a certificate of authenticity by Roger Lanne. Etienne-Charles-Albert Jacquot, known as Albert Jacquot, joined his father's workshop in Nancy in 1885. He acquired a great reputation for producing copies in the classical Cremonese style and received many honours and awards for his making throughout his lifetime. The Laberte workshop developed a production of high-quality instruments at the turn of the 20th Century. This violin is sold with a certificate of authenticity and photos Roger Lanne.

Bearing the label 'Fait sons la direction d'Albert Jacquot n 15 1909', the back of this violin is two pieces of highly flamed maple. The front is made from fine-grained spruce. The instrument is finished with golden-brown varnish on a yellow ground and ebony fittings. The body measures 357mm along the back, 167mm across the upper bouts and 207mm across the lower bouts.

This violin has a warm sound and is most suited for chamber and orchestral playing.
