This violin was made by Andrea Schudtz in 2023 in Cremona. Schudtz was first introduced to violin making by his father Pavel Schudtz, a luthier who worked with the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and began studying at the International School of Violin Making in Cremona in 1991. At the school, he worked under Giorgio Scolari, Davide Negoni, and Stephano Conia, and worked in the workshop of Alexander Krylov in Cremona while at the School. He has since opened his own workshop, and has participated in several competitions, winning the 2nd prize at the National Violin Makers Competition in Baveno, Italy in 1993.

This violin is labelled first "Tersicore", and then "Andrea Schudtz Faciebat / Cremonae Anno 2023" below. The body measures 354mm along the back, 168mm across the upper bouts and 208mm across the lower bouts. It has a two-piece back of highly flamed maple with a moderately broad curl, with matching ribs and scroll. The top is of a finely grained spruce, and the instrument has an amber-brown varnish with rosewood fittings.

This violin has a strong and clear sound across all registers and is most suited for solo and orchestral playing of a tertiary level or higher. It has a very broad character, distilling a large amount of power into a fine and well projected sound, with excellent clarity and responsiveness.
