Andrea Schudtz graduated from the International School of Violin Making in Cremona in 1991, studying with Mo. Conia, Mo. Negroni and Mo. G. Scolari. His instruments are made following the classical models of the Cremonese school, such as Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati, but with his own personal style.

Labelled 'Andrea Schudtz, 2022', the back of this violin is of one-piece flamed maple, with matching ribs and scroll. The top is made from fine grained spruce. It is finished with a golden-brown varnish on yellow ground and the fittings are made from matching snakewood. The body measures 355mm along the back, 167mm across the upper bouts and 207mm across the lower bouts.

Featuring a warm yet brilliant sound, combining projection, immediate response and balance, this violin is most suited to solo performances. It is sold with a certificate of authenticity from the maker.
