This violin was made by Giovanni Varazzani in 2023 in Cremona. Giovanni Varazzani is the brother of master luthier Andrea Varazzani, who had an independent career in the UK before returning to Cremona to work with Andrea in his workshop full-time. This instrument does come with a certificate of authenticity and photos from the maker.

This instrument is labelled "Giovanni Varazzani / Fece sotto la guida del Maestro Andrea Varazzani / Sesto Cremonesa - Cremona / Anno 2023". The body measures 354mm along the back, 169 across the upper bouts and 206 across the lower bouts. The back is two piece, made of moderately flamed maple with a medium curl. The maple of the ribs and scroll matches the back. The top is made from fine-grained spruce. The violin has gold-brown varnish with ebony fittings, and is in excellent condition.

This instrument has a rich, warm sound and is most suited for chamber music or orchestral playing.
