The Schroeder #30J Cello is an ideal instrument for those wanting good projection at an affordable price. It has a very clean, clear, crisp tone, which is a stark contract to that of the Kreisler #130 (which is warm and mellow). It is setup with a Belgium style bridge which contributes to the direct sound and projection and is fitted with good quality European strings. The ebony pegs and modern tailpiece make tuning easier, eliminating the hassles normally associated with cheaper cellos. The Schroeder 30J cellos are most suitable for players at a fourth grade AMEB standard or below.
