Hagen Weise #320 Poplar Cello

This cello was made in the workshop of master luthier Hagen Weise. Weise has been active since 1991 when he commenced work for the Roderisch Paesold Company in Bubenreuth, Germany. In 2004 Weise successfully completed his master violin-making examination. Since 2010 Weise has been dedicated to making fine instruments in his own workshop located in Baiersdorf, Germany. This instrument comes with a certificate from the maker. 

The back of this cello is made from well-aged poplar, with ebony fittings and a wittner tailpiece. This cello has a good cover of golden-brown varnish & has been lightly antiqued. 

This cello offers beautiful tonal control and just the right amount of warmth. It has excellent projection with a clean and balanced sound. This instrument would be suitable for the high-level intermediate to advanced musician. This cello is currently fitted with Larsen ‘Magnacore’ strings which add a touch of brightness to the overall warmth of this instrument.
