Kreisler * One Star Violin Bow 1/2

The Kreisler One Star Violin Bow is a great choice for advancing beginners and intermediate players who prefer the traditional look, feel and sound of a wooden bow.

It has a flexible stick and is better balanced than the Kreisler Student Bow, offering more control when performing more advanced bow strokes such as staccato, sautillé and hook stroke. 

When compared to the Kreisler Carbon Bow, the main differences are in the sound and agility. Whilst the Kreisler Carbon is a bit more agile, the Kreisler One Star produces a warmer tone which is more favourable to some players.

The Kreisler* bow is most suitable for players at a 5th-6th grade AMEB standard or below. It sits in our ‘beginner violin bow range’, however it will easily give most players what they need at an intermediate level.

The Kreisler One Star Bow is most commonly purchased by:

+ Intermediate players on 4/4 violins looking for an affordable bow to play on for a few years, with the intent to upgrade after their 5th or 6th grade AMEB exam.
+ Advancing beginner or intermediate players who prefer the look, feel and sound of a wooden bow.
+ Adult beginners who would like a bow that will take them further than a Kreisler 'Student' or Artino violin bow.

Each bow is carefully prepared by the Luthiers in our workshop to ensure that the horsehair is even, the stick is straight and it’s easy to wind up. The bow is then rosined and played by one of our sales staff before leaving the store.
