Vladimiro Cubanzi 'Paganini' Violin Cremona 2024

Originally from the former Soviet Union, Vladimiro Cubanzi relocated to Italy, where he attended the International School of Violin Making in Cremona. He is part of the new generation of violin makers and was awarded the title of Master Violin Maker in 2005. Cubanzi opened his own workshop in Cremona in 2009 and in the same year joined the Consortium Makers ‘Antonio Stradivari’ in Cremona. He has participated in many international exhibitions, and his instruments are used and appreciated all over the world.

This violin is labelled "Vladimiro Cubanzi / Cremona 2024" and is based on the Guarneri del Gesu 'Paganini' model. The body measures 354mm along the back, 169mm across the upper bouts and 207mm across the lower bouts. The back is made with one piece of lightly flamed maple with a narrow curl. The ribs and scroll have been made to match. The top is of a finely grained spruce. It has been finished with an amber varnish and snakewood fittings.
