It was Johann Strauss the first who made the Viennese waltz internationally famous, not only in ballrooms but also on the concert platform. Although his waltzes have been eclipsed by those of his much more famous son, he is still remembered for this ever popular march, here arranged for string quartet by Carlo Martelli.
