The B20 is the second instrument in the Barossa range by Glanville & Co. Glanville & Co. is a local workshop located right in the heart of Sydney. They were founded on the belief that all Australians should have access to music education and quality instruments that will nurture their development. It is through the fusion of technology & tradition that Glanville & Co. have been able to produce high-quality, customisable, innovative & affordable instruments that are entirely Australian made. This instrument comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The B20 has a two-piece maple back with a moderate flame & the top is made from spruce. This violin is based on a Guarneri violin model. This instrument has a good cover of red-brown varnish with light antiquing, inspired by the red-tones of a full-bodied shiraz - the Barossa Valley’s specialty. The B20 is fitted with an ebony tailpiece & chinrest, Wittner fine-tune pegs & a Teller Master bridge.

The B20 has an open & bright sound with great projection. It responds instantly to the lightest bow touch with a clear & focused tone. The B20 is suitable for the advanced beginner, intermediate players & the serious amateur. This violin is strung with Larsen Standard Il Cannone strings to further enhance the power & projection of this instruments tone.

Please contact us if you would like to book an appointment to try this beautiful Australian-made violin or attend one of our guided tours of the workshop.
