The Stauffer #801E is a German-made upper-intermediate violin, perfect for players completing the middle to upper AMEB grades, or equivalent. With a wide, expansive sound, it would best fit a player who is upgrading from the beginner range, and wanting to find a bit more colour and complexity in their tone. It has a quick response time, making it a nimble and comfortable instrument for all players.
The violin has a two-piece maple back with a finely grained spruce top, a dark amber-brown varnish, and ebony fittings.
