Louis Simon a Paris Ouchard Model Cello Bow

Viaduct Violins began the 'Louis Simon' range of bows in 2009 to satisfy the growing demand for a modern French bow of professional quality, yet still being reasonably priced. This bow is based on the EA Ouchard model & was made in 2016. Ouchard (1900-1969) was a famous French bow maker who was active in both France & America. This bow comes with a certificate of authenticity & photos from Viaduct Violins in Paris.

This cello bow is labelled 'LOUIS SIMON A PARIS' on one side & 'EA OUCHARD,' on the other side. It weighs 80.63 grams & has been made from finely seasoned pernambucco. It measures 710mm & has silver French style-lapping. The frog is made from ebony & is silver mounted with a mother of pearl Parisian eye. The frog of this bow is inset into the stick for greater stability while playing. This bow is in an excellent state of conservation.

This bow has a strong but flexible stick. This means it is an extremely versatile bow suitable for both heavy playing & expressive phrasing. The bow is very well-balanced & has a fast response time. This bow would be suitable for tertiary level study and the advanced to professional level musician.
