Born in 1965 in Buckingham, Paul Sadka is a modern bow maker currently working in his own workshop in Cornwall. Sadka first studied bow-making with Noel Burke in Ireland, and between 1994 and 1998 worked in various workshops in Cremona, the south of France, and Budapest, where he eventually began his first workshop until 2003. He then worked in Paris with Jan Bartos until 2009, when he reestablished his workshop in Cornwall. His work has been well respected thus far, winning an award at the 2001 Bow Making Competition of the International Cello Festival in Manchester, and winning three gold medals in the 2010 Violin Society of America's Bow-Making Competition.

This viola bow is stamped "Paul Sadka a Paris" and weighs 69.5g. It has a round stick of Pernambuco, measuring 745mm in length, with French lapping of gold tinsel and black silk, and a leather grip. The frog is gold mounted and made from ebony, with a mother-of-pearl eye, and a three-part button of gold and ebony.

This viola bow has a strong, stiff stick, with plenty of power and bite in the lower registers and quite a compact spiccato. It is best suited to performance at a professional level.
