GEWA Kantuscher Violin Chinrest Ebony

This Kantuscher ebony chinrest fits 4/4 size violins, with chrome fittings. It is made by the German brand Gewa, founded in 1925. This is a uniquely shaped chinrest with the feature of being able to be played either with a centre mount or placed slightly to the left. It has a medium to shallow cup that can mount over the tailpiece. The lip is quite shallow and soft on the chin. This chinrest generally sits over the tailpiece, and can be screwed on using a chinrest tool (see recommended products).

To install, loosen up the brackets and rest the chinrest over the tailpiece, as seen in the product picture. Following this, insert the tip of the chinrest tool into one of the little holes on the bracket, and turn to tighten. Repeat with the other bracket.
