The Dörfler Bow Making Workshop is a fourth generation family business who combine the tradition of German bow making with the style of prolific French bow maker Tourte. Daniel Dörfler is the current founder of the company, and together with his son Egidius Dörfler their workshop has been transformed into what it is today, carrying the values of sustainable practice and the reforestation of pernambuco trees, the precious material which bows are made from.

This violin bow is stamped '*W. E. Dörfler ***' and weighs 62.00 grams. It has a round stick and is made from pernambuco. It measures 74.3cm in length and has silver lapping and a leather grip. The frog is made from blue resin and is fully silver mounted and silver button in one piece.

This violin bow has a strong stick which produces a full and round tone. It is a well-balanced bow and articulates bow strokes with clarity in both the upper and lower halves. This bow would be suitable for players completing their upper AMEB levels, and moving into tertiary education.
