Pirastro Violino Violin, Set, 4/4

After seeking an alternative to the famous Dominant strings, I was put onto Pirastro Violino strings some years ago. It was a happy discovery. A good balance of warmth for the G and D strings, a mild, clean brightness for the A string and pretty solid sparkle and brilliance for the E string. I have tried them on both modern and older instruments and they have produced some lovely results. A very good broad spectrum string set. Like all string sets, they do not suit every violin but they are definitely worth a try. Happy to recommend Violino strings.
