The Gewa Tourte Round Rubber Cello Mute sits on the D and G strings over the bridge. Used when playing a piece that says 'con sordino'. When not in use the mute can stay on the violin strings near the tailpiece or easily be taken off.

Great cello mute!

This cello mute is easy to use and fits well on the strings. It lowers the sound without changing the tone too much. It stays in place while playing and is useful for quiet practice. Overall, it works well and I would recommend it to other cellists.

The Sydney String Centre sits on the unceded lands of the Gamaragal people. We pay our respects to Elders and communities past, present, and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who also work and live on this land.
