Marco Dotti 'Heifetz' Violin Cremona 2025
Marco Dotti graduated from the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, after which he joined the workshop of Maestro Edgar E. Russ as an apprentice. He is a talented assistant and has been using his time whilst as an apprentice to develop his skills, with his instruments since attracting significant attention all over the world.
This violin bears two labels the first being "Marco Dotti / fece in Cremona nell 'anno 2025" and the second being "Josef Guarnerius fecit / Cremone anno 1740" and is based on the Guarneri 'Heifetz;' model. The body measures 354mm along the back, 165mm across the upper bouts and 203mm across the lower bouts. The back is made with two pieces of medium flamed maple with a medium curl. The ribs and scroll have been made to match. The top is of a moderately grained spruce. It has been finished with an amber-brown varnish and boxwood fittings.
