The Stauffer #803E Stradivari model is a German-made instrument that would best fit players considering performances situations like the upper AMEB grades, HSC music, or even school and community orchestras. Stradivari model instruments tend to be sweeter and more focused in sound than their Guarneri counterparts, and this violin brings out those qualities of sweetness brightness very well. It shines in the upper register, which makes it ideal for a lot of the solo repertoire common in higher level curricula, and makes playing with lots of clarity quite easy. 

The violin has a two-piece back of maple, a finely-grained spruce top, a golden-amber varnish, and ebony fittings.
